Fineart Prints

Delivery

All printing and shipping is handled by theprintspace. 

Prints will be shipped worldwide from their German Studio and to the UK from their London Studio. Please note that shipping rates do not include any local tax duties.
Prints are shipped in either a reinforced packaging tube or crumble proof packaging to ensure damage-free delivery.

Delivery Time: Orders usually ship out within 72-hours of your purchase, and will usually arrive within 7-15 business days depending of course, on your location!

Estimated Average Shipping Times:

Europe: 3-5 Business Days
USA & Canada: 7-10 Business Days
Rest of the World: Up to 15 Business Days

Sustainability Measures and Carbon Neutral Print Process

We are very proud to say that our prints are sustainably packaged and carbon neutral from end-to-end of the production cycle.

This was only made possible by the amazing efforts of our print studio partner theprintspace, who have worked incredibly hard to carefully inspect every stage of their printing and shipping process.

Our Fine Art Paper Process

Carbon neutral printing process by theprintspace:

Sustainably sourced paper
Recyclable packaging and envelopes
Recyclable cardboard stiffeners to protect your print in transit
Paper tape made from 100% recycled fibres

Our artworks are Giclée printed on Hahnemühle Photorag.

The super matt finish of Hahnemühle Photorag makes this paper one of the most popular papers amongst artists, illustrators & photographers alike. The paper gives muted blacks with even colour reproduction, and excellent detail. The surface has minimal texture with a chalky smooth cotton feel which creates smooth colour gradients. It has a delicate surface, so we recommend extra care when handling. Hahnemühle Photorag is suitable for mounting but its cotton texture means edges can fray if not carefully handled.

Secure Payment

You can pay via Paypal and Shopify Credit Card  Payments. Both use a secure 256 bit encryption service and are 100% safe and secure. ApplePay and GooglePay is also available.

Returns and Exchanges

Returns

We have a 15-day return policy, which means you have 15 days after receiving your item to request a return. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. 

To start a return, you will need to contact us at shop@matthiasmaier.com. Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Shipping charges need to be covered by you. 

Items sent back to us or to the manufacturer without first requesting a return will not be accepted. 

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Exchanges of damaged prints or prints with issues

The print tube shipping packaging is extremely tough and capable of surviving the roughest of shipping journeys, however in the rare event that your print arrives with any kind of damage, we will gladly replace it for you completely free of charge.

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

We will need to have photo evidence of the damage to the art work to process your replacement.

In order for this to happen just send an email with an image of the damaged packaging, print and certificate of authenticity as well as the order number to shop@matthiasmaier.com and we will get the replacement arranged for you right away.

We will happily cover the return shipping for any damaged orders and the subsequent replacement print.

Certificates of Authenticity and Edition Numbers

The print series Birds of Fire Island has a limited edition quantity in each size. You can see detailed information on the editions on the product pages.

Once the prints sell out in each size and edition, they will never be available again. This is it and we will need to get to work to produce other prints!

Each print comes with a unique certificate of authenticity. It provides the name of the image, the edition number, production date, certificate number and a hologram that is matched by a unique number on both the print and certificate.
